Super Power, Science, and Math

Students have been earning capes to wear during reading when they are caught using their reading "Super Powers".  We have learned about the following powers:  pointer power, picture power, sound power, partner power, reread power, snap word power, and persistence power.  I hope the students are using these powers at home too.  We will start bringing home books we have read after the holidays to show off our great reading.

In science we have building ramps and testing with different balls made from different materials and testing to see what happens when we tilt the ramp up higher.

In math, we have been building different shapes and learning about each of their characteristics.  Have your child look around your house to see what shapes they can spot.
